Heja Rahiminia

Slaughter - 2014

This collection is on Iran-Iraq war and seeks to represent and project the bitter and unpleasant memories of the bombardment of my hometown, Marivan. This collection is representative of a sense of fear which fills me unconsciously by hearing the sounds of airplanes even after years. However, I was a child at that time and what I remember is a dim and vague feeling stress. Thus, what I remember is ghost-like and dim and I have tried to portrait and represent everything as I have experienced and felt them. The selected characters also project the chemical attack of Halabja and the time before their death.
